Alliance Guild on the PvP Ner'zhul ServerEight great reasons to join The Silver Legion...
1. Approximately 100 friendly, helpful and mature ACTIVE members.
2. Great ladder and tournament system to make World of WarCraft more exciting and competitive.
3. In depth Cohort system with ratings, specialized groups, and a lot of variety.
4. Great interactive, customizable, very functional website with a forum and messaging system.
5. Lots of room for advancement to higher ranks through hard work and commitment.
6. Members range from hardcore gamers to mild enthusiasts.
7. Very organized guild structure with great leaders.
8. The guild has been around as a Brood War and WarCraft III clan for almost 3 years. It isn't going anywhere anytime soon, it is here to stay.
Apply, check out the Guild Stats or Learn More! The Silver Legion is a former StarCraft, WarCraft III, and later World of WarCraft guild that was active from February 2002 to April 2005. The guild no longer exists. However, this website remains online as a resource for former members so that they can communicate with each other. There are no, as in no, plans to resurrection the guild.
If you have trouble getting into your old account and can confirm your identity, you can contact me on AIM at Bozpw. Other Silver Legion resources former members should join: Yahoo Group & Facebook Group | | Posted by: Legate Bozpw | 14 Comments |
That's right, I've put the website back online. Why you ask? No, I am *NOT* restarting the guild. I got some new web hosting though and thus it didn't cost me a dime to put it back up, so here ya'll are.
I hope we can chat about the good ole' days.
If you have forgotten your password, please contact me on AIM (Bozpw) or Facebook and I will reset it for you.
Also, I ask that folks with admin access of any type (aka, Prefects, Senators, Consul) not edit any settings. Please preserve everything as it was when the guild ended. | | Posted by: Legate Bozpw | 40 Comments |
The flash-entrance finale can still be seen here.
I have created a Yahoo Group for former Silver Legion members to keep in contact. Please, all of you who see this, contact any Silver Legion member you are in contact with and get them to come and sign up for this.
More information is available at Silver Legion. Be sure to read the short rules so that we all know what this is for.
To subscribe immediately, all you have to do is send a blank email to silverlegion-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Wait until we get a lot of people before sending things out to the group.
Once again - If anyone is interested in buying this website, I will help you set it up for a modest fee. Email me at Bozpw@silverlegion.com if interested.
And, this is likely my final post on this website I made here. Goodbye website, I created you, and I shall destroy you, likely when the hosting expires on 12/15/2005.

I find it ironic that tonight I am once again, more than three years later, watching Gladiator. I haven't seen it more than a year.
I started The Silver Legion because I was bored, had a great interest in Blizzard games, and had enjoyed leading clans in the past.
My life has changed in the past three years, I have changed, and while I still love WarCraft and other blizzard titles, I no longer have the time, or the desire, to spend the great number of hours playing World of WarCraft necessary to lead a successful guild.
Maximus and Commidous fight as I sit typing this. The idea of having others run this guild in my place has apparently failed, and acknowledging that a great many of resignations were about to take place, I would prefer to end the guild this way than watch it demise. I will not say if it will ever come back, I could always regain interest, or other games could come out that such casual leadership might be more suitable for.
There once was a dream that was Rome. It was realized. This guild did have great heights, and I know many many people because of it.
I will not sell it again as I did before, for I can't bear to let someone else run it. I am to attached. Selfish, I do not deny. If anyone is interested in possibly acquiring the code of the website, for which I will help them setup on another server (and then have no further connection), email me at Bozpw@silverlegion.com with offers.
I know that many of you have had great leadership experiences in the past three years, and many of the rest of you have had great fun gaming. I hope that I have provided a good community for you. I have learned much about people, politics, and in the early days, work ethic, through this organization, so it was not all for nothing for me either. I have seen many people grow up from being annoying teens to very bright young adults. I would like to thank all of the leaders, and all of the members. I could list people, but I would be disgracing the ones I have forgotten.
Obviously you may all join any guild you wish, but I personally would like to recommend the Scorched Earth Alliance. They are a great group, helped us during raids, and their leadership seems very admirable. You may apply to them at http://www.seguild.net/ where I believe you hit new user on the top.
I will miss leading you all. Best wishes, and please, keep in touch.

Taking into account recent events, I see that people in this guild are becoming restless. Two members have recently left, and I understand that the higher levels are anxious to do high level instances with a guild. The Silver Legion has lost members before, for many reasons. However, we're still here, and plan on staying here for a long while to come. Soon enough we will be running high level content, and outlasting the hell out of everyone else while doing it. So please, just stick around and see what happens, because it WILL happen. | | Posted by: Senator Ulmo | 33 Comments |
Amelia has organized a large raid against Orgrimmar. Several guilds are attending, including two of our allies Scorched Earth and Disciples of Death. We hope to have as many people there as possible. Due to the nature of this raid, more information can be found in the forums, so that it is protected from those who we don't want to see it .
Please read the attached post. | | Posted by: Senator Spazart | 10 Comments |
I have recently finished adding a couple of pages to the website in order to keep track of Guild League info (Only viewable by Ambassadors+, more basic info is on the League page). I was waiting until this was completed before this:
I need Ambassadors!
As the League is currently expanding, I need two Ambassadors to act as my assistants. Ambassadors have no extra power than that of a Prefect except access to several pages involved with the State Department. As an Ambassador, it would be your job to get to know the guild(s) you are assigned to. Before a raid, it is your job to talk to that guild(s) and sort out if and how they will participate.
Please PM me with your application, include reasoning as to why you want the job. Note that I am only accepting higher level (45+ At least) members, of any rank. To balance out my low level . | | Posted by: Senator Spazart | 9 Comments |
That is right, no two shits about it, that raid went to shit worse than the Grom Gol disaster. Some of these reasons are entirely my fault. But not all of them.
1. First off, I was late. I am sorry about that, I was having IRL issues RIGHT before the raid. I almost didn't make it and was considering popping on and calling it off. But I made it about 20 minutes early anyway.
2. Second, and partially my fault. It was not made clear enough to the other guilds that we don't invite Pubbies. It was spammed all over Ironforge and the turnout of people we didn't want was INSANE. I had no control over what this raid was doing whatsoever. I am going to take the hit of the extra postage costs and simply send longer and more detailed information. 1 of the guilds was making a point to openly promote it, I put a stop to it, but not soon enough.
3. Third, not at all my fault this time, the showing from SL was PISS POOR! WTF guys? That was horrible! WE ARE ON A PVP SERVER! WE ARE HERE FOR PVP! IF WE ARE GOING TO HAVE RAIDS, I NEED RAIDERS! We had 12 members... That is half what we usually get... Not even! I know the mounted thing may have been an issue, but I was looking at the raid on Hammerfall and saw 90% of you mounted... And Hammerfall we ran by ourselves... Easily might I add? That was the most smooth of all raids I have run, I said something and it happened, I was shocked by that folks. I realize it was a sunday, I got a lot of complaints beforhand too, it won't happen again. I didn't realize Sunday was so bad... I am usually pretty free... And if you finish your homework, it shouldn't be a problem, if not, for you pacific folks it ends pretty early... I started that at 9pm my time...
Fourth and finally, the Praetorian Guard, is non-existing. 'Cmon guys, for the love of god, apply to Morgoth. We need you to run these properly, In theory, there should be one for each group. It would really help if you would apply, that way we can get this thing off the ground.
Quite simply, we have made many mistakes all over the board, thankfully, I think we are learning from them. I will plan a raid tomorrow, and get all of the information out to you guys and the other guilds early and nothing can possibly go wrong. I will also be making a news post, that you will all read, that has the specifics of how things are intended to be run, and I will get that information to the other guild leaders.
This will not happen again on my part, all I ask now is that you give me yours. | | Posted by: Senator DrunknMaster | 20 Comments |
Despite what the Realm Status page claims, The Ner'zhul realm is still down as of this time. If the 24 hour approximation is accurate, they should be coming up around 7:00 PST tonight, though that is in no way guaranteed.
On the up side, Blizzard did note: "During this hardware upgrade, these realms will be unavailable to players. This extended downtime is necessary in order to fix the stability and performance issues that have hampered these realms in the past. Players with characters on these realms will receive a 5-day time extension for the downtime incurred during this maintenance. Also, we realize that some players may have been disconnected outside of a major city or inn. Therefore all characters on these realms will receive a full rest-state bonus."
15:45 PST: Server is back up! Good job to Spazart for reporting. | | Posted by: Legate Bozpw | 6 Comments |
The Praetorian Guard is now being changed from a cohort to a department. The bill was passed in senate about 3 weeks ago.
Now the members of the Praetorian Guard, excluding The Prefect, will be given the rank of Praetor in recognition of their prowess in WoW.
The new Department will not be lead by a Senator, nor do the members have to hold the rank of Prefect. All level requirements will stay the same and the Department is application only.
No one will be given the rank of Praetor until Boz does the coding for this new department. Another news post will be made when said coding is finished. Therefore there will be no more Praetorian Guard Cohort, just the department.
You may apply to the Praetorian Guard by sending your applications to Morgoth.
